Garage Door Maintenance & Tune-ups
Garage door inspections, lubrication, hardware servicing, balance assessments, and opener safety checks in the Charlotte area. Request maintenance for wear or unreliable operation.

Inspect the whole system
Maintenance considers the door and operator together. Visible wear may indicate an alignment or balance problem elsewhere. An inspection can identify developing issues, but it cannot guarantee that no future part will fail.
- Spring, cable, and drum condition
- Rollers, hinges, bearings, and hardware
- Tracks and structural mounting points
- Door balance assessment
- Weather seals and panel condition
- Excessive vibration and unusual noises
Opener operation and safety checks
Photo-eye behavior, safety reversal, travel, controls, and emergency-release condition are evaluated using the appropriate manufacturer's procedures. Safety devices must remain active. Broken springs, slack cables, and unstable doors require repair rather than routine testing.
Lubrication and servicing
Products and lubrication locations depend on the door and component instructions. Grease or oil on a track can collect debris and is not a cure for binding. Worn parts, cracked hinges, loose mounting points, and poor balance need corrective work.
When to arrange an inspection
Follow the door and opener manuals for inspection intervals. A periodic professional assessment is useful, particularly for frequently operated doors; any new noise, uneven movement, impact, or damaged cable warrants earlier attention. Commercial maintenance plans can be arranged separately.
Common questions
Will maintenance stop every breakdown?
No. It can help identify wear and operating problems before they grow, but components can still fail. Changes in sound, speed, or movement should not be ignored between inspections.
Why does my door shake when closing?
Worn rollers, loose hinges, track alignment, panel damage, and balance faults can cause shaking. Lubrication alone may not address the problem; inspection determines the correction.
During your service appointment
Tell us what changed, how the equipment behaves, and whether access or security is affected. We inspect the relevant components and discuss suitable repair or replacement options. Damage, compatible parts, access, and the system's condition determine the work needed. Your preferred appointment window is a request and requires confirmation.
